Errands, location scouting and lunch dates

And then there are good days. Errands, location scouting, lunch dates, and long drives.

Then there are days like today where everything fits just right, everything ran smooth and I got to feel like my old self again.

Today I felt like a dreamer and saw a glimpse of the future I wanted with you-uncomplicated, happy and filled with more love than our hearts could bear.

Today felt good, it felt natural or maybe I still have to many hair pins stuck in my hair but on days like I don't hate you and the connection I once had with you feels temporarily renewed.

For a little while on days like today I don't remember the hurt, anger and disappointment.

I felt free.
I felt happy.
I felt vulnerable.

Today love didn't feel so heavy.

Still healing, still growing

A Year Of Healing

It's the beginning of a new year again, it's the beginning of the third new year I've not felt like myself. Yes, I've allowed myself to suffer through three years of struggling with pain, heartache and emotional numbness.

No new resolutions of trivial things for me this year though. No boasting about the small amount of people that entered into 2017 with me. No dire need of expectations either.
No, this year for me, will be about healing. Rediscovering myself again-
Finding peace, love and happiness.
Regaining strength, inspiration and passion.
Restoring my faith, self love and self confidence.

This year I will try to cover my heart in love and not darkness.

This year will be about letting go, moving on and acceptance.
This will be my year of solitude and growth.

I hope some of you will follow me on my journey through my very own happiness project.

Who knows, it just might work in bringing back my peace of mind.

Emmalia.

MAC ChenMan Force of Love Lipstick

Hello My Readers

Ok, so I know this may be pretty old news, but to me its new! When MAC came out with their Chen Man Love & Water Collection, things got sold out really fast, and by the time I got to the Mac store Force Of Love was sold out. Luckily my sister got there before me and picked up two. (One for her use and the other for backup) Since then I have been begging and even offered to pay her for this lipstick, my obsession got even worse when I tried it on, its so damn pretty. I totally fell in love with it. Anyway yesterday she finally gave in, imagine my face when she handed it to me... new brand and perfect packaging! I know.. way to make my day :)
Anyway I'm not gonna review it, but just had to share this exciting tale of the Force Of Love.. hehe!

Mac Woodwinked Eyeshadow- Swatch, Review, Photos

Hello My Lovely Readers..
Today's review:
Mac's Woodwinked Eyeshadow

Woodwinked is one of Mac's bestselling eyeshadow and honestly I can see why. Mac describes Woodwinked as a warm antique gold, and it has a veluxe pearl finish. It is part of their permanent collection, and should be in your permanent collection too!

In pan Woodwinked looks more brown than anything but once applied its simply stunning... this golden, bronze, metallic like shade which just makes your eyes pop. Its amazing for all over the lid, or just in the crease, it can be worked for day or night, casual or formal. Its easily paired with other neutrals, and/or darker, bolder colours. Yes its very very versatile.

Summary:

Product: 9.5/10
Price: US $15.00 or TT $130.00
Application: 9.5/10
Pigmentation: 10/10
Packaging: Standard Mac Eyeshadow Packaging
Status: Permanent
Would Recommend: Yes

Mac Ricepaper Eyeshadow- Swatch, Review, Photos

Hello My  Little Dolls
My random review post today is on Mac Ricepaper Eyeshadow, which is one of the most talked about neutral shade by the 'Mac Junkies.' It has a 'Frost' finish and is a part of Mac's permanent eyeshadow collection.

Its gorgeous for everyday eye makeup-
Use it on the brow bone as a highlighter.
Use it at the inner corner of the lids.
Use it on the lids- (paired with any shade of medium to dark brown and some liquid eyeliner .. perfect everyday look)
Or use it on your lower lash line.

Mac describes the eyeshadow as a 'Peachy gold with shimmer.' Some people say its yellow creamy beige with a peach undertone, some say its a light gold, or even a like yellow gold.. but to me its a soft cream/light gold colour, with a very light shimmer. The texture is very buttery- goes on smoothly and blends like a dream. Its very neutral colour, very pigmented, doesn't crease and lasts all day long.

Its very versatile.. Don't you think?

I would most definitely repurchase everytime.
Do you have this Shadow? Or are you just lusting?

Mac Peachtwist Blush: Swatch, Review, Photos

Hey Guys!

I know I've been totally M.I.A, but I promise I'll be doing lots more on my blog now!
So today's "Review Choice" is  Mac Peachtwist Blush. For a while now its been my go to blush, or my everyday blush. I'm beginning to feel as though I'm a little obsessed, but this blush is totally gorgeous.

This Blush comes in standard Mac packaging and costs US20. or TT170.

Peachtwist is a bronze/copper peach blush with gold dust that shimmers when light hits it! It may look extremely sparkly/glittery in pan but its not. Once applied it gives a natural, beautiful warm peachy glow- What more can you ask for during those pocket full of sunshine days?!? This Blush is perfect for Spring or Summer!

This blush is sheertone and can be build up to on any skin tone and give it that sun-kissed glow. It goes on easily and blends evenly, plus it lasts all day long too.

Natural Light
With Flash
I would highly recommend this blush... and trust me once you've tried it you'll want to repurchase time and time again.. yes its that good! -Its Peachily Gorgeous, A must have!
Do you have Peachtwist? Or are you wanting it?

Mac Dollymix Blush: Swatch, Review, Photos

Hello My Lovelies
So this is the blush that inspired my blog's name! When I 1st got the idea to start a blog, I didn't know what I would call it, and after some thought and a handful of horrible names, this blush just popped into my head. Dollymix... and since a lot of people has told me I resemble a Doll. I thought of -DolliMixed.
And so my blog was born.

Mac's Dollymix Blush just happens to be one of my favourites, its got that whole pretty in pink feel and as the name suggests, this blush is what you would imagine a doll to wear. Bright Barbie pink!!

The regular price of this blush is  U$20.00 or TT$170.
It comes in Mac's standard packaging and it can be found at your local Mac counter and anywhere that distributes Mac Products.

To anyone this blush would look very bright and scary in pan, however once applied it  gives natural pretty rose flushed cheeks! Just one touch of your blush is more than enough with some cases, so when using this blush you need to be very careful of falling victim to the dreaded clown cheeks.
To avoid this make sure to start off with very little, and build as you go along to get look you want to achieve. I know this looks like a hot pink blush, but with a light hand it applies sheerly and still very evenly and blend-able, and can be build up to take on any skin-tone.
{Remember its always easier to add blush as you go rather than to take it away}

If you are on a lookout for a nice pink blush from MAC then get Dollymix.
I'm sure you wont be disappointed!

Will I Repurchase: Yes, Indeed I Will.
